The £9 million bespoke University of Cumbria teaching block

As part of a bigger estates redevelopment programme for the campus, the purpose-built learning facility acts as a central hub for all academic and research activities, and student support services. It incorporates a 230-seat lecture theatre, 10 teaching rooms, social learning spaces and high-quality teaching accommodation. The environmentally sustainable teaching block has been fitted with Hacel luminaires offering high efficiency, reduced energy consumption and maintenance alongside long life expectancy. All lighting is fitted with light level controls and occupancy sensors.
