The £45m Carnegie School of Sport unites all teaching and research for undergraduate, postgraduate and research sports programs as well as providing a hub for elite athletes who use the university’s athletics performance expertise. The building houses highly specialist teaching and research laboratories, including an environmental chamber that can mimic different altitudes and locations. The main feature of the Carnegie building is the impressive 60 meter long covered rooftop track, Infinitas is cleverly used throughout the building and particularly here, as lane identifiers, with striking effect.
